This conference will grow your knowledge and skills in conjunction with ideas for school programmes for the new educational environment. Emphasis will be placed on enhancing teaching and assessment opportunities within NCET electronics and Digital Technologies in years 9 to 13.
The programme will encompass:
- Construction skills and techniques
- Programming and using microcontrollers
- Project work that models classroom practice
- NZC Key Competencies
- Scheme exemplars
- New assessment opportunities (including the new NCET 3 & Digital Technologies)
- Visits to schools and industry
- Opportunities to network
Most sessions will involve ‘hands-on’ learning activities based on the programmable controller kit that will be provided for you to take away. All levels of experience will be catered for as opportunities for projects are explored and constructed in teams. Strategies will encourage collaboration, sharing ideas and best practice for engaging classroom programmes. Come along and develop your capabilities. It is bound to be a lot of fun in a friendly, supportive environment!
